Explore the world of De Bethune, a brand that, in just twenty years, has redefined the art of watchmaking. Co-founded by master watchmaker Denis Flageollet, De Bethune stands out for blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design, creating timepieces that are both innovative and steeped in history.

Flageollet’s goal has always been the pursuit of chronometric perfection, and De Bethune has been a true disruptor in the watch industry. With thirty in-house movements developed over two decades, De Bethune focuses on mechanical simplicity and the essentials of traditional watchmaking. This approach has led to a collection of watches that evolve over time through continuous innovation and new materials.

Producing only 150 to 250 watches annually, De Bethune maintains its exclusivity and high standards. Each timepiece, priced between $45,000 and $300,000, is crafted with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a strong bond with each owner.

Celebrating its twentieth anniversary, De Bethune is celebrated as a symbol of the independent watchmaking renaissance in the twenty-first century. “De Bethune: The Art of Watchmaking” features contributions from notable figures in the watch industry and collectors, including Arthur Touchot, Wei Koh, Pierre Jacques, and many more. This book offers an in-depth look at De Bethune’s journey from its founding to its future, covering everything from its manufacturing processes to its intricate movements.

Owning a De Bethune watch is like holding a piece of horological history. As future collectors look back, Denis Flageollet will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest minds in watchmaking. This book is a tribute to his legacy and the enduring significance of De Bethune’s creations.
